Announces Gable and Pannell Join Firm As Principals

(ATLANTA, GA) – Clarity Benefit Consulting,
(www.claritybc.com), a national leader in employee
benefit consulting, is pleased to announce the addition
of Paul Gable and Adam Pannell as principals.
Paul Gable will be responsible for Clarity's Sourcing
practice. A 20-year veteran of the insurance industry,
Mr. Gable brings to Clarity an in-depth experience
in sourcing and underwriting.
Prior to joining Clarity, Mr. Gable served at UnumProvident
as a vice president in the national accounts area.
His responsibilities focused on revenue growth,
persistency and profitability for a national account
portfolio
of Life and Disability risk. Mr. Gable was accountable
for a regional cost center in excess of $800 million.
While at UnumProvident, Mr. Gable also oversaw
all underwriting functions for the Southwest
Region. His responsibilities included management
of a $600
million
portfolio and new premium sales of $200 million
within
all group, individual and voluntary product lines.
He also developed and managed various alternative
distribution programs. Mr. Gable brings to Clarity Benefit Consulting proven
executive level, broad business skills, and experience
in multiple business functions. As a strong leader,
Mr. Gable, CFA, has a MBA from Rutgers University
and a BS is Business/Physics from Muhlenberg College. Adam Pannell brings a wealth of experience to the Clarity
team, gained in various roles in the employee benefits
industry over the past fifteen years. Mr. Pannell will
lead Clarity’s Health and Productivity Management
practice.
Prior to joining Clarity, Mr. Pannell was director
of strategic accounts with WebMD, where he assisted
large employers with strategy, design and implementation
of WebMD’s integrated health and benefits platform. Prior to Mr. Pannell’s experience at WebMD, he
held the position of principal with Mercer Human Resource
Consulting. Mr. Pannell managed business development
activity for Mercer in the Southwest while organizing
and leading project teams within Mercer’s healthcare,
retirement, communication, and compensation practices. Mr. Pannell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration with concentrations in Finance and
Insurance from California State University and
an MBA from Southern
Methodist University. He also holds his Certified
Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation
from the Wharton
School of Business and the International Foundation
of Employee Benefit Plans.
