Honors thesis in Economics, study of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC's), 1988 absence of risk-based pricing for insured bank deposits and its relevance to bank failure rates in the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Career Highlights
Numerous leadership positions with UnumProvident, a leading provider of disability and special-risk products. Positions included: group insurance consultant, sales manager, and national accounts consultant. Mr. Schott’s accomplishments include arranging the first long-term disability program in the United States to be reinsured using a company-owned captive insurance company.
